How to Use C.R.A.P. in Your Design [Infographic]

Robin Williams, author of The Non-Designer’s Design Book (not the furry comedian), outlines the four main principles of design using the acronym C.R.A.P. Contrast, Repetition, Alignment and Proximity. At least it’s a memorable one, right?!

These principles are key for a well-designed, cohesive piece of work. They are especially great for small business owners who haven’t had much graphic design experience.

Most of the time, these four principles of design will be interconnected. So – in other words – make sure your piece of work contains all of the principles. If you do, you’ll end up with a more interesting, attractive and readable piece!
